Equipping First Responders, Law Enforcement, Military, Fire/EMS and Search and Rescue With Medical Gear That Saves Lives
OUR MISSION
Rescue Essentials is dedicated to providing the best service, products, prices and, most importantly, survival outcomes for first responders, trained professionals, government agencies and everyday heroes. We’re proud to offer the widest selection of tactical emergency medical equipment and custom kitting capabilities available online.
WHY WE DO IT
In 2007 the founders of Rescue Essentials charted a new course, committing to serving law enforcement, military, Fire/EMS and search and rescue communities with top-quality tactical medical products delivered in a timely manner with flat rate $4.99 shipping.
As the business has grown, the capabilities expanded to include custom design, manufacture, and distribution of purpose-built trauma and medical kits for government agencies, schools, transportation hubs and private businesses.
Experience gained in working with entities like the U.S. Border Patrol, the Department of State, NYPD, FDNY, FBI, Secret Service and various Special Operations units has synergized our kit building expertise with real world input. The result is a product line and internal skill-set to accommodate budget requirements, ever changing protocols, and advancements in product technology.
COMPANY ROOTS
Rescue Essentials founder Phil Carey cut his teeth as a Wilderness First Responder and EMT. His first effort at providing medical supplies began in 1989 with Atwater Carey Ltd.
In 2007 Phil formed a partnership with Jorian Sartorius (formerly VP at Atwater Carey Ltd.) and Sara Jensen, and launched the Rescue Essentials online store, significantly reducing costs to the end-user.
Dr. Sam Scheinberg of SAM Splint fame was among the first vendors to jump on board, and dozens of others have since followed suit. Dr. Sam Slishman, who developed the innovative Slishman Traction Splint while at the University of New Mexico, came on board as Medical Director in 2012.
In April of 2018 Tri-Tech Forensics, Inc., a leader in the crime scene supplies, digital forensics, and evidence collection kit markets, announced the acquisition of Rescue Essentials. Tri-Tech Forensics is a great strategic partner with the facility and operational scale to expand production capabilities and achieve greater market penetration with a wider product offering into the markets we serve.
